There are key words to help with these skills, they are as follows:

Here are some basic things to consider with these words:

1) Why is the enemy heading that direction, Why as the enemy come from that direction.
2) Why are these tracks here, and Why would it benefit me following them, and Why is there so many of them. 3) Why is the enemy camping or based there, Why are they moving or changing places to camp or base some ware.

2) When is the enemy more likely to stop and rest.
3) When would the enemy be more variable for attack.
4) When is it the best time to use booby traps, and when is it the best time to make your move.

When you come across your enemy and you start following them, this is call stalking,
and you should keep your distance and try to conceal yourself at all times.

SVS found if you take your time and observe the enemy and read what is going on in the back ground, you will find a lot of
information about the enemy, helping with your mission.

When reading the enemy surroundings, you can tell what the enemy is up to, here are some basic examples:

1) Consider this, if the enemy vehicles are in formation, they are staying for awhile, but are ready to react.

2) Also consider if you see an enemy patrol man with weapon, there are more likely to be a enemy Camp or Base around.

3) If the enemy is well dressed , they are more likely to be well gear up and have more man power for back up.

4) Look and think about things, sticking out of its environment.

5) If you are trying to keep concealed at all times, think about the CCTV in shops, near towns, city’s and on roads.
