First, lets look at the vulnerable areas, that we can get attacked or worse, that we come across every day in our lives.
This will help you to think about your awareness in vulnerable areas, SVS say you can't keep aware or alert all the time, we are all humans and humans get distracted, so here are some basic examples of vulnerable areas to keep you aware and alert of the following:
1) ATM Cash machines.
2) Stop at road Junctions in your car.
3) In buildings lifts and public toilets.
4) Dark car parks, on a bus, in a taxi and when you are in your car.
5) Heavy public areas and when shopping.
6) Dark street alleys and covered street areas.
7) Roof tops and basement.
8) Near heavy foliage and over bridges.
9) Swimming and moving through rivers.
10) Opening you front door and Clubs, Pubs.
SVS use each other to help keep aware of they surroundings, when on a mission.
You can avoid many dangerous situations by looking at the areas you are coming up to, e.g., using Cash machines, look around to see if any one is standing around watching the cash machines, looking out of place, and don't use the machines at night on your own.
When stop at road junctions in your car, lock your doors and have your windows done up, this will deter the thief or the attacker.
Building lifts, you don't have to get in a lift with people in it, its safer on your own.
Public toilets its safer to use the cubicles, using the urinals you can get attack from behind, something to consider.
Alone in Car parks at night or other, park you car under lights, cameras and near the exit and when walking to your car have your keys ready and make sure the exit is clear, then when you are in your car lock the doors and go, cars don't stay running in car parks, you can listen out for this, if the engine is still running, fore more then 5 minuites, consider it could be a getter way for an attacker.
When in heavy public areas and you are surrounded by busy people, stay near the walls looking in to the groups of people, this will help a bit because you can see what is coming.
When shopping be aware of your own bags you are carrying and don't put them down when looking at other goods, When shopping and looking at kitchen cutlery or garden tools consider this they can be use as weapons against you, remember that.
Walking at night through dark streets, try to avoid dark alleys, drunken men, young groups, woodland areas and walking alone, also beware of hedges in the gardens that an attacker can jump out from.
Roofs, Try not to use them and if you are on a roof, try not to look over the sides so people can see you and keep away from the sides so no one can push you off the roof, roofs today have many security cameras, wises and pipes so beware.
Be aware of heavy foliage, it could have boobtraps, enemy and deep holes.
Bridges, you don't have to avoid bridges or climb all over them to get over, if no one is around walk over it, you can escape or fight better on a bridge, not if you are hanging off it.
Opening your front door, many people open there front door the wrong way, e.g., when you open your door with a cup of tea in one hand, consider this, if you are attack at your front door you need to be ready to fight off the attacker to close the door.
When opening your front door stand back and be ready, open the door a little bit first, use your right hand to open the door and your left hand ready to push the door close if needed. Remember if a paper boy can get to your door, an attacker can too.
These are just some of the basic examples, to get you thinking out side the box and about your awareness.
Shadow had a member, call loki, who try to take shadow out all the time, at work and at home, this help Shadow look at the vulnerable areas in his life and others.
Many have gone through many scenarios with self awareness, to help and show others about their vulnerabilities.
To stay alert and aware of your surroundings you need to avoid lack of sleep, alcohol and Man make Distractions.
Clubs and Pubs, many people think they are aware in the clubs, looking out for the trouble makers, fights and what people are carrying that can be used as a weapon, but there's more to it then that, you have to look and think outside the box, its not just the people around you in the clubs, what about the man thats looking through the window at you, waitting for you to go home drunk, so he can jump you.
Also beaware of wet floors when a fight is kicking off, SVS have find that using your drinks to wet the floor before a fight will make the people slip on the floor stopping them from grabbing bottles or other objects they can use as a weapon.
Remember many people don't go clubbing on there own, so if someone starts on you, remember they are more likely to have mates that will back him up!
Be careful when going up or down staires in clubs and pubs, because if a bottle is left on the stairs sideward on a step, you can slip down the stairs, this can be fatal.
Never leave your bottle around, someone can drop a pill in it drugging you, keep your drink always on you.
You are also very vulnerable when you are a sleep, SVS found that when you are sleeping indoors or outdoors, leave around concealed noisy objacts, this will help you to wake up immediately, when set off, you most set up the concealed objacts yoursalf for your salf awareness to react, when the noisy objacts are set off.
When the Ninja is moving through his mission, he controls his breathing to help to keep aware at all times, breathing is the key to the way of the Ninja.
A Ninja is good at keeping aware because his not thinking about tv shows or computer games and worrying about others, this makes the Ninja more aware, he is aware of whats going on around him, just by looking, listening and not daydreaming.
